Camping at the Conference Grounds

This August we spent a week at the Conference Grounds camping with Grandma DeYoung.  We had a great time in the sun, sand, pool, and waves of beautiful Lake Michigan.  Caleb enjoyed VBS every morning.  Friday night they had a little program to sing some songs and show what they learned.

Tyler's Birthday...Part 2

DeYoung Birthday Party

Tyler has an awesome birthday, celebrating it 3 times!  What a lucky boy. He got a push toy that he absolutely loves from Grandpa and Grandma, and a dump truck from Aunt Sara and his cousins. Oh, did I mention 3 parties means eating cake 3 times!  He's a pro.

Tyler's 1st Birthday...Part 1

Our Big 1 Year Old!

Tyler is a lucky boy! He is celebrating his 1st birthday 3 times! On his actual birthday it was just Jeff, Caleb, Tyler and Me. So he got to eat cake then for the first time. Then we had a party at a park with the Krosschell family. Tyler was a little under the weather (as we found out the next day he had an ear infection :(). But through the pain he was able to eat MORE cake. This kid LOVES to eat. He got many fun toys including; a talking "chuck" truck, a musical instrument set, race cars, and some fun books.

Tyler's New Word

Tyler is starting to copy words we say, so recently Tyler has not been feeling well and today he was MUCH better so Jeff says "Tyler are you a happy boy?", All of a sudden Tyler said "Ha pee". Then he wouldn't stop...so cute.

His vocabulary now is: mamma, dada, uh oh, ah key, and now happy

4th of July Fun

This 4th of July we went down to the Hollyhock Parade. It was a perfect day. We sat in front of Jon and Crickets house and watch the parade with many friends including Gabby, Lexi, Maia, Owen, Lucy, Laney, and Carson. Grandma and Grandpa Krosschell were also there.

Although, this was not Tyler's first camping trip (he went last summer at 3 weeks old), this was the first time he could enjoy the water, the tractor ride, the crawling in the dirt, and so much more. Caleb also enjoyed playing ALL day long with his friends from our church.

Memorial Weekend/Ty 10 Months

Memorial Weekend

Our new Krosschell family tradition is to rent out a cottage for Memorial weekend. This year we stayed at a cottage a block from Lake Michigan in the Saugatuck/Douglas area. Although it was a little chilly we did make it down to the lake a few days. Caleb of course went right in the water, he didn't care that is was only 50 degrees (if that). I thought if felt like needles poking me, so I stayed out. Tyler decided it would be fun to eat EVERYTHING on the ground, so that meant fist fulls of sand (until I got smart and put the pacifire in his mouth).
We had a great weekend hanging out with all of Jeff's brothers and thier wives, and the three boy cousins. Great family memories.
